Give each opening a reference
Use the same mark on the schedule and drawing. A room name, floor or elevation is more useful than a long description with no location.
- Opening mark and building / block
- Floor, room or elevation
- Current drawing number and revision
Record what is known
Separate confirmed dimensions from items that still need measurement or design approval. Include the unit and say whether a dimension is an opening size or a product size.
- Width and height with units
- Opening type and handing, if decided
- Frame finish, glass build-up or hardware only when specified
Keep assumptions visible
Mark unknown fields as “to confirm”. Do not use an estimate as an approved production dimension. The project team should agree who measures and who signs off the final schedule.
